Engine Cleaner Liqui Moly Oil Sludge Cleaner, 300ml is a highly effective combination of oil-soluble detergents and thermally stable dispersants for quick and easy removal of black sludge and other combustion residues from the engine and vibrochen. The combustion chamber of a gasoline engine contains fuel and air and after ignition and combustion there are combustion residues. Most of the combustion residues are removed through the exhaust system but a small proportion passes into the vibrochen in the form of gas and thus into the engine oil. Partially burned fuel has poor oil solubility and contributes to the formation of mud and varnish on the metal surface. In the presence of oxygen, nitrogen and heat, the lubricating oil forms insoluble oxidation products that also form sludge and deposits. In diesel engines, the sulfur in the combustion chamber, along with the water that is produced from the combustion of air in the fuel / air mixture, during combustion is transformed into SO2 and SO3 and forms sulfates and sulfuric acids. These products, which initially remain in the area of ​​the piston rings as soot and small molecule oxidized fuel residues (even there with a detrimental effect on the engine), are transported by blown gas or engine oil to the bottom of the vibrochen where they form deposits and varnishes that produce rust and wear.

How to use: Suitable for all common engine oils, on petrol and diesel engines, with and without Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). Tested for turbo and catalytic converter systems. Add to approx. 200 km before changing the oil. A 300ml box for a quantity of 5L oil. After adding the solution, circulate approx. 100 - 300 km avoiding maximum acceleration, then change the oil and replace the filters. Repeat the cleaning operation for very dirty engines, and if necessary filter the bath oil with a sieve. The oil sludge wash solution can be used before each oil change.
