Leather Repair Pen Colourlock GLD, 40ml is ideal for smoothing surfaces that have been repaired with Fluid Leather. Leather or vinyl surfaces that have a fine texture and that have been repaired with Fluid Leather will not be perfectly smooth after drying. With the help of this product, Fluid Leather can be smoothed, and the repair will have a much more pleasant appearance.

In the case of larger defects on leather or vinyl, it is possible that a perfectly smooth appearance may not always be obtained after repair. Such repairs must be improved by using the GLD-Pen product. The GLD-Pen solution dissolves the Fluid Leather filling paste, obtaining a uniform surface that can be worked on further by completing with Fluid Leather or by refreshing the color with Leather Fresh. Fluid Leather cannot be sanded with Leather Sanding Pad after drying. There is a risk of damaging the repair by pulling out the Fluid Leather filling paste.

How to use: Fluid Leather cannot be sanded after drying. Unevenness or wrong repairs can be smoothed with Leather Repair Pen Colourlock GLD, 40ml. GLD dissolves the upper layer of Fluid Leather paste so that the repair can be resumed. Open the lid and press the tip a few times so that the material is soaked with GLD. If the material becomes too wet, dab a few times on a cloth. Thus the excess is absorbed. Then apply the paste by pressing lightly and using circular movements. The paste dissolves and becomes uniform. As wet as it is after applying GLD, the paste can be sanded with a Leather Sanding Pad. Work very carefully using very little GLD so that the paste does not lose its qualities or dissolve completely. Let it dry. In this way you can model until the result is satisfactory. A texture close to the original can only be reproduced by specialists in the field. But it is not always necessary.
