Impact Resistant Structural Adhesive 3M, 200ml is Impact Resistant Structural Adhesive (IRSA) is formulated for automotive OEM specified structural bonding applications, excellent for collision absorption in steel structures and advanced lightweight aluminum alloys. This two-part epoxy adhesive offers extended working times, up to 1 hour, and can be quickly hardened with heat. The adhesive changes from silver to purple as the adhesive hardens.

Designed to withstand higher impacts than traditional bonding adhesives, 3M Impact Resistant Structural Adhesive (IRSA) is excellent for OEM-specified automotive structural applications. Adheres to properly prepared automotive substrates, including mild steel, high-strength steel and aluminum; vital, as OEMs strive to achieve high strength in ever lighter structures. This two-part epoxy adhesive is recommended for all welded and riveted joints when specified by an OEM. It offers an extended working time - up to one hour - and hardens quickly with heat (30 minutes at 80° C). The adhesive is applied in a silver color and turns purple as it hardens, indicating when the hardening process has started. 3M IRSA is designed to absorb the forces of collision energy and provide increased torsional stiffness for OEM-specified automotive structures. Allows spot welding (tightening type) in an uncured state, usually up to three hours after application. Correctly applied adhesive will completely seal the joints and will work when exposed to very hot and cold temperatures. The 3M impact-resistant structural adhesive is available in 200 ml cartridges.
