Moto Airbag System Alpinestars Tech-Air is the world's first autonomous street airbag system that works independently, without the need for sensors to be installed on the bike and, subsequently, the need to connect a specific motorcycle to the airbag system used pilot. This means that Tech-Air offers the freedom to ride any motorcycle on any surface at any time. Offering instant, high-pressure inflatable protection, the Tech-Air offers the pilot full protection in the event of an accident, covering the full back, shoulders, kidney areas and chest. The Tech-Air street airbag is incorporated into a specially designed vest, which is then attached and used together with a compatible jacket. There are a variety of Tech-Air Street compatible clothing items available.

TECH-AIR's Airbag Control Unit (ACU) is incorporated into a strong and lightweight polymer back protector that has an ergonomic construction with plates for structural strength and a fit to follow the natural contours of the back.
The ACU has been approved ECE R10 04, which ensures the electromagnetic integrity and stability of the unit.
TECH-AIR uses an integrated, certified lithium-ion battery, with a battery life of 25 hours and a recharge time of approximately 6 hours. The Micro USB charger allows convenient recharging of the system, with one hour of charging providing four hours of coverage.

Construction:

Constructed from a strong and durable mesh main shell with versatile stretch material on the shoulders and torso for a compact and secure fit that is close to the rider's body while still allowing freedom of movement.
TECH-AIR ACU is protected by sealing in the vest to ensure its performance in any weather.

Protection:

The argon inflation cartridges are CE certified according to the ISO 14451 standard, which means that they will only fire if they are commanded by the electronic unit. It also certifies that the cartridges can be handled, assembled and transported safely.
System firmware can be updated, and registration of external services will be managed by a custom data portal.
TECH-AIR is CE Category II certified according to European Directive 686/89/EEC on PPE, using a version of EN1621-4:2013, which guarantees impact protection performance from 25 milliseconds to 5 seconds.
Certified to operate at -10°C and +50°C to guarantee system use in a wide range of weather conditions.
The design and manufacture of TECH-AIR is CE certified according to the pyrotechnic directive 2007/23/CE, guaranteeing that it has been assembled in compliance with all pyrotechnic safety and handling regulations, which means that the system can be transported by car, ship, train or plane.
