Synthetic Jet Engine Oil Mobil Jet Oil 254, 946ml is formulated to meet the demanding requirements of state-of-the-art aircraft gas turbines operating in a wide range of severe operating conditions. Compared to a typical Type II lubricant, Synthetic Jet Engine Oil Mobil Jet Oil 254, 946ml reduces bulk oil oxidation by up to 50 percent and exhibits 50 F greater deposit control capability. These properties have been confirmed in various laboratory tests, including the Corrosion-Oxidation Stability Test, Alcor, Coker Vapor Deposition Test, Erdco High Temperature Bearing Test, Ryder Gear and Mobil Thin Film Oxidation Test Viscosity at the closely controlled low temperature of Mobil Jet 254 oil, together with its low pour point (below -54 ºC), ensures good low temperature fluidity to allow starting and lubrication at temperatures down to -40 ºC. In extensive laboratory testing and flight experience, Synthetic Jet Engine Oil Mobil Jet Oil 254, 946ml also exhibits excellent bulk oil stability at temperatures up to 232°C (450°F) for extended periods. The evaporation rate at these temperatures is low enough to prevent excessive volume loss. The load carrying capacity of Mobil Jet 254 oil is derived from the viscosity of the synthetic base stock and therefore is not subject to loss due to additive shear viscosity index.
