Heavy Duty Automotive Gear Lubricant Mobil Mobilube HD-N, 80W-140, 20L is a high-performance commercial lubricant, designed from selected base oils and an advanced additive system. This lubricant is formulated for performance in transmissions, axles and final drives for heavy loads, where extreme pressures and shock loads are expected. It offers excellent chemical and thermal stability at high bulk oil temperatures, good performance at low temperatures and has demonstrated good protection against rust resulting from water contamination and/or wet storage.

Today's heavy equipment applications place higher performance requirements on drive train lubricants. Higher speeds, higher torque and higher loads require improved formulations to maximize equipment life and minimize operating costs. Recommended for use in:

- manual transmissions, axles and final transmissions for heavy loads that require performance at API GL-5 level, including Scania
- light and heavy trucks, buses, vans and cars on the highway
- off-highway industries, including: construction, quarrying and agriculture
- other heavy duty industrial and automotive applications involving hypoid gears and other gears operating under conditions where high speed/shock load, high speed/low torque and/or low speed/high torque conditions prevail.
- the initial filling, completion and refilling of closed commercial gears in manual or semi-automatic transmissions in which gear lubricants are recommended, including drive axles and final transmissions of trucks, off-road equipment and cars
- it is not recommended for applications that require API GL-4 level performance
- it is not intended for transmissions for which engine oil or automatic transmission fluids are recommended
- for limited-slip differential applications, it may be necessary to use a special factory-supplied gear lubricant for those who require maximum vibration control;
